class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t\t\t<p>In the exterior corner of one of the rooms, in the old section of the house, an attractive thick, rounded concrete <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><em>banco<\/em><\/span> had been poured.\u00a0 It has long been a very common practice to use concrete collars, <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><em>bancos<\/em><\/span> and buttresses to reinforce the stability of adobe walls.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the concrete also trapped moisture and over time weakened the walls as the adobe bricks softened and disintegrated.<\/p>\n<p>We broke apart the concrete <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><em>banco<\/em><\/span> using a product called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.betonamit.net\/Home.html\">Bentonomite<\/a> so we could assess and repair any hidden damage.\u00a0 We\u2019ll re-build the beautiful <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><em>banco<\/em><\/span> little by little using rocks and lime mortar.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols
