Living Room:
In the 1950’s a living room, back hallway / entrance, bathroom and laundry room were added to the original house.
Like the original structure the addition was constructed of adobe bricks. However, the walls in the addition are significantly thinner. Walls in the original section measure 21” and in the addition, the walls are 10 inches thick. The ceilings in the addition were constructed of vigas, latillas and carrizo (a type of bamboo, which could be found growing along the ditches). The fireplace appears to have been built in front of an older fireplace.
