At some point during the years when the Nason Hall family occupied the house on Calle de Guadalupe, a lovely old door was hung in the front entryway. Unfortunately, the old door was too large for the existing opening and hanging the door covered portions of the transom and sidelight windows, which blocked the sunlight and make the front entry much darker than was originally intended.
We removed the old door and installed a temporary replacement. Meanwhile, we’ve discussed the pros and cons of taking apart the old door in an attempt to make it fit the opening. We are also researching door styles that would have been used during the time period in which the transom and side windows were built.
