A couple of years ago, a family friend, Alexandra Nason Hall, passed away. Her home, a beautiful old 1850’s adobe house was in need of preservation and repair. Long story short… we agonized over whether or not to purchase it and take on a pretty comprehensive preservation project. Even though my husband specializes in the preservation of adobe structures, it seemed like a lot to take on as we edged into our retirement years. After changing our minds, at least three times, we bought Alejandra’s house. (Alejandra is the Spanish spelling and pronunciation of Alexandra as spoken by her Hispanic friends and neighbors.)
We’ve created this website to share our project with other adobe lovers, preservation enthusiasts and Alejandra’s friends.
